Erma Soderquist

A strong, brave, compassionate, smart, interesting and artistic woman left us to join her husband Alix who predeceased her in 2008. Erma leaves behind her children: Judy (Stuart) Fitzpatrick, Ken (Patricia) Soderquist, and Kathryn Alberts; her grandchildren: Spencer (Sarah) Matthes, Caitlin (Will) Matthes, Saffron Soderquist, Dana Alberts, and Laura (Chad) Riggins. Erma also leaves behind treasured cousins, nieces and nephews, special friends as well as her Vernon Restholm family. Erma was a Psychiatric RN, finishing her career at Dellview. She was also an active contributor to the Gleaners, crocheting at least a thousand hats, knitting mittens and slippers for the Upper Room Mission, making quilts for anyone who needed one, a gardener, competitive game player, and a committed recycler who could repurpose anything. Erma was a terrific mother and grandmother. She considered herself fortunate to have great friends. Erma leaves a hole in many hearts and will be missed terribly.

A family memorial will be held in the spring.
