With heavy hearts, we share the passing of our beloved Doug, who left this world peacefully on May 2 surrounded by those who loved him most.
Doug was a devoted husband, father and friend. An avid traveller he enjoyed living in diverse communities, gaining him friends and colleagues across the country and around the world. His kindness, humor, and generosity left a lasting impact on everyone he met.
While words cannot fully capture the loss we feel, we find comfort in the memories we carry and the love he gave so freely. Doug’s spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
Information about celebration of life will be shared soon. We are grateful for your love and support as we mourn the loss of a truly remarkable man.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in his memory to the Beaty Biodiversity Museum.
