

Ken will be lovingly remembered by his sons Roger (Shawna), and Erik (Jenny), and his grandchildren Julia, Kate and Cohen. Ken’s partner Ann, and children Amanda and Denise, and grandchildren Liliana and Weston will hold him in their hearts. Ken is survived by his sister Barb who will miss him dearly.
Born in Edmonton on February 15, 1945. Ken went on to complete a master’s degree in Social Work at UBC where he met his first wife Phillipa Mary Green. Ken moved to Vernon upon graduation and became the Regional Director of Mental Health and Continuing Care for IHA. He was a strong advocate for mental health and quality patient care.
Upon retirement Ken cultivated many interests including travel, book clubs, various volunteer activities and choir. In his retirement years he met his partner Ann Ferguson, and they had many wonderful adventures together. Above all Ken was a family centered man, he never missed a holiday, recital or birthday party and was a constant loving presence in the life of his children and grandchildren.
Ken will be remembered for his gentle manner, his witty humour, his intellectual curiosity, and his creative approach to problem solving.
An open house Celebration of Life will be held at Pleasant Valley Funeral Home on December 23, 2025 at 1:00PM
