Later, he met Marie, the love of his life. Together, they made the move from Calgary to Lumby, BC, where they built a life filled with family, fun and cherished memories.
He enjoyed the simple things in life. He loved spending time tinkering in the garage, exploring the back roads of Lumby, panning for gold, and camping with his family. He was also well known for his ability to fix just about anything, earning a reputation as a true handyman. Always willing to lend a hand, Leslie was somebody family, friends, and neighbours could count on whenever something needed fixing. These simple pleasures and everyday moments brought him great joy and were an important part of who he was.
He spent many years working as a bus driver for the school district. He was fondly remembered by the children he drove, often bringing a little extra joy to their day by celebrating their birthdays on route.
Leslie will be remembered for the lives he touched and the love he shared with his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
A memorial is planned for Friday November 13 at 10am at Pleasant Valley Funeral Home in Vernon, BC.
