Born in Lethbridge, Alberta, on January 4, 1933, Lloyd is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Wilda, their four children: Linda Hardy (Noel), Dale Koepke (Jamie), Raymond Koepke (Joanne), and Shelley Walker (Graham). He was a proud grandfather to 8 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Elaine Darroch (Jim) and sister-in-law Fran Koepke.
Lloyd loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed camping with his family. He was always building something—believing in making rather than buying. He built the family’s 17-foot boat, Pride and Joy, and converted a 94-passenger school bus into a motorhome known as The Eagles’ Nest, which carried the family on many memorable adventures. He also lovingly handcrafted toys for his great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents, Harold and Mabel Koepke; his brother Wayne; and granddaughter Kimberley.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Vernon Men’s Shed in Lloyd’s memory.
There will be a Celebration of Life held at 10:00am on Sunday, September 28, 2025 at the Schubert Center (3505 30th Ave, Vernon, BC).
