With deep love and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Maryanne Myhre on August 19, 2026, at the age of 75 in Armstrong, British Columbia. Born in North Vancouver on January 4, 1951, and raised in Langley, BC, Maryanne made her home in Abbotsford for many years before recently relocating to Armstrong to be near family.
Maryanne had a heart of gold. Generous, caring, and always willing to lend a helping hand, her kindness touched everyone around her. Her family was her absolute world, and nothing brought her more pride or joy than spending time together. She was also a gifted crocheter; over the years, so many were lucky to receive her warmth and love woven into her beautiful handmade creations.
She is reunited in peace with her beloved husband and her parents, who preceded her in death. Maryanne’s legacy of love lives on through her children: her sons Bradley (Yvonne) Nelson and Kyle Myhre, and her daughter Erin Myhre. She also leaves behind her 10 cherished grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and her devoted dog, Meka, who brought her endless happiness.
To honor Maryanne’s wishes for simplicity, her life will be remembered privately. In lieu of attending a service, friends and extended family are encouraged to remember her by sharing a kind memory or making a donation in her name to a local animal rescue or humane society, such as the Okanagan Humane Society or the BC SPCA.
