Olive Irene Unrau

February 12, 1922 – February 21, 2017

On February 21st 2017 Olive left the arms of her family for the arms of her Savior. Born in Stettler, Alberta on February 12, 1922, she grew up in Vancouver, B.C.

Predeceased by her parents, Sister Jean, her husband George and infant son Mervin.

She leaves a legacy in her children and grandchildren Dennis (Diane), Jeremy, Jennifer & Dustin, Dianne (Don), Sunnee, Marilyn Unrau, Brian (Louise), Rhett & Rachel, her brother Bill (Helen) Mounce and many nieces and nephews.

Olive and George fell in love in Port McNeil, B.C., and joined their lives in December 1951. Williams Lake, Salmon Arm, Kelowna and Armstrong became home throughout the years. Olive touched many lives as a teacher, Sunday school teacher, neighbor and friend. Olive modeled the gift of hospitality to friends near and far.

We will celebrate Olive’s final graduation on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Glad Tidings Pentecostal Church, 2570 Pleasant Valley Rd., Armstrong at 2 PM

The family is grateful to the wonderful care received at Pioneer Square and Vernon Hospice.
