It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Rhondda on February 4, 2026, from her battle with cancer. Rhondda will be deeply missed by her daughter Leah, son Trevor (Khai), her sister Gwynneth Nelson (Richard) and all who knew her well.
Rhondda was pre-deceased by her husband, Dick. They worked together in their own business - Vernon Helicopters, in Vernon for many years and enjoyed their retirement together.
Rhondda’s favourite saying was “either you chew gum or kick ass”, and we’re sure she’s doing just that.
There will be no funeral by Rhondda’s request and in lieu of flowers, those wishing to do so, may make a donation in her memory to the BC Cancer Foundation, the North Okanagan Hospice Society or the Diabetic Association - Rhondda was a type 1 diabetic for 66 years and was the first Queen Silver Star. Many thanks to Dr. Wm Lemiski and Judy.
