It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Silvano Burich at the age of 91. He was born in a small coastal Italian village called Salvore (Savudrija) on the Adriatic Coast near Trieste. He immigrated to Canada in 1957 and became a Canadian citizen in 1962. It was also the same year he married Hisako Shibata in Vernon. They lived together in the same house for the rest of their shared life. They were happily married until her passing in September 2015. Silvano loved football (soccer), classic cars, tinkering in the workshop, playing with his dogs, and spending time with friends and family. Silvano will be lovingly remembered by his children Angela and Gino (Kathy), his grandchild Chloe (Indy), and his great-grandchildren Elliette and Juniper.
We miss you Dad, Nonno, Bisnonno.
Funeral service will be held at St. James Church at 10:00 AM, October 5th.
