Tom left Ireland at age 18 and emigrated to Canada to join his uncles in Saskatchewan. He spent many years in construction and mining. He married Marjorie Schmitt in 1964 and raised two children, Kerry and Tina.
In 1973, he moved his family to Salmon Arm, BC. He spent the rest of his working career managing a Farm and Garden business.
Tom and Marj retired to Vernon, BC in 2011 where he enjoyed raising canaries and loved to go camping with his beloved dog, Molly. They travelled across Canada and parts of the USA.
