Anna Bratanich

With great sadness, the family of Anne Bratanich announces her peaceful passing on August 16, 2026, at 2:55 PM. Anne was a woman of exceptional kindness, sincerity, and strength — remembered by all as an angel on earth whose warmth and generosity touched everyone she met.

Born and raised in Sudbury, Ontario, Anne married Joseph Bratanich at the age of 19 and became a devoted mother to four children: Joe, Tobin, Carla, and Paul. She worked at the local newspaper before dedicating herself fully to raising her family.

Anne later moved to Niagara Falls, where her remarkable work ethic shone during more than 10 years on the graveyard shift at Chef Boyardee. She was the only woman to work that demanding shift for so long and was honoured with a special plaque recognizing her dedication.

In her later years, Anne relocated to Victoria, British Columbia, working in the fabric department at Walmart for seven years. A passionate sewer throughout her life, she created countless handmade items and enjoyed attending craft shows across the region. She filled her days with music, laughter, dancing, and card games with loved ones.

As her health declined, Anne was lovingly supported by her family. Her daughter Carla provided devoted care, and her son in law Jazz became her dedicated driver and companion, ensuring she was always surrounded by comfort and dignity.

Anne will be remembered as the matriarch of her family — a woman of strength, persistence, and unwavering love. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew her.

A remembrance service of Anne’s life will be held on Friday, August 21, 2026, at 10:00 AM, for family and close friends.
