In 1969 Betty married the love of her life, Michael. Their days were filled with international travel and living abroad. One of their international residences was in Brunei, where Betty had the opportunity to step into the role of executive and consular assistant to Canada's first High Commissioner there. She shared many memories of that position and mentioned that it was one of her greatest achievements. On returning back to Canada Betty became very involved in Federal politics, putting her executive assistant skills to work. Betty was also an avid competitive bridge player.
She was predeceased by her husband Michael, whom she missed daily.
She is survived by her sister Roberta, brother Rick (and wife Janna), sister-in-law Yvonne (and husband Tom), Nephews, Niece and their families.
Betty has requested no service.
