Bing passed away peacefully at Royal Jubilee Hospital, Victoria BC on January 17, 2015 at 94 years. Born in 1920 in Vancouver his family moved to Alert Bay in 1934 to establish a general store. "Pop" enjoyed fishing and wood working and served in the Pacific Coast Militia Rangers. He retired to Victoria where his interests turned to gardening. Predeceased by his wife Ruby in 2004, Bing leaves behind his children Tony (Deidre), Gail, and Lora (Phil), grandson Danté as well as sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews. Many thanks to all the family, friends and RJH staff who were so kind to him. Bing requested no service, cremation has taken place.
