

Brian was born in Victoria B. C. and spent his youth in Victoria before relocating to Quebec with his parents and sister.
In his early adulthood he played baseball and bowled 5 pin which he won many awards for.
It was always his goal to make his way back to Victoria and he did just that with his wife Irene and young children Sue and Bill in October 1970. The family travelled across the country by car and were able to take in the beauty of the country. Brian worked for Acklands and eventually CP Transport for 25+ years where he met many lifetime friends.
Brian gave up 5 pin bowling for 10 pin and participated in the Wednesday night men’s league and the Friday night mixed. He won many awards in both leagues capped off with a perfect game in the Monday night men’s commercial league.
He also enjoyed playing darts in social leagues. Brian’s favourite pastime was fishing which he was also accomplished in having won trips to Fiji and Amsterdam . His happy place was the annual Gold river fishing trip which extended over 30+ years.
Brian spent many years volunteering at RCL #7 running many successful fishing derbies over the years.
In retirement Brian and Irene made annual trips to puerto Vallarta where they also met life long friends Another favourite and frequent stop was Seattle for Mariner games where he and Irene would also visit friends in Washington that he’d met in Gold river and kept in contact with over the years.
In aging it was Brian’s goal to age at home and with the live in care and support from son Bill he was able to accomplish that goal. In his own words he lived a long and happy life with no regrets.
Pre deceased by wife Irene in 2021 he is Survived by daughter Sue (Don) and son Bill. Also survived by brother in law Rodolph Pilon and many nieces and nephews.
