Bruce was born in Alert Bay, BC. Bruce spent his youth in Esquimalt, Victoria, where he developed a lifelong appreciation for sports and the outdoors. Later in life, he moved to Sooke, BC to be closer to his favorite fishing spots.
Bruce dedicated 32 years of service to Public Works as a plumber/pipe fitter, retiring in 2020. He also worked for Urban Search and Rescue Outside of work, he enjoyed fishing, golfing with friends, and sharing his sense of humor with those around him.
Bruce is lovingly remembered by his daughter, Erin Shotton.
Survived by his brother, Ben and sisters Julie, Anna and Marlene.
Bruce is predeceased by his parents, Ruby and Arthur Shotton , and his brother, Ross Shotton.
A celebration of life will be held later in the Spring.
