Chrispene Eunice Baptiste was born on June 25, 1938, in Layou, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Daughter to Ada Collis and Eustace Millington. She passed away peacefully on May 17, 2026, in Victoria, British Columbia, leaving behind a legacy of love, generosity, and unwavering faith.
Chrispene is survived by her son, Dale, and daughter-in-law, Louan; her grandchildren, Cerise, Rachael, Vanessa, Jozeah, Lexon, and Kyla; her great-grandchildren, Derrell and Alianna; her siblings Duke, Castiga, Holly, Vincent, Judy, and Vashnie; and her aunt, Florence Cooms. She was preceded in death by her siblings Eion and Kenneth.
A woman of many talents and a giving spirit, Chrispene earned her Personal Support Worker (PSW) certificate and dedicated over twelve years to caring for others in that role. She also operated a beloved wicker furniture shop in Victoria for many years. But perhaps the accomplishment closest to her heart was the time she spent feeding and supporting those experiencing homelessness in downtown Victoria. A quiet, consistent act of love that touched countless lives.
Chrispene had a gift for making people feel welcome. She loved to cook, to entertain, and to celebrate life. She was always impeccably dressed and ready to bring joy to every gathering. Above all, her faith was the foundation of everything she did. She gave her life to Jesus Christ and served Him faithfully for many years.
She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Psalm 46:4 — a song of peace and eternal rest.
