Denis was predeceased by parents Edmund and Geraldine Williams, and wife Jennifer Williams. He is survived by and greatly missed by his partner Debra, children Matthew (Holly), Rebecca (Conor) and Meghan Williams, as well as siblings Dee (Rick), Stephen (Janette) and Jan (Ted). He leaves behind grandchildren Addison and Blake (Rebecca), Grace (Matthew) and Ryan and Kara (Meghan). He will also be missed by countless extended family and friends.
Duff wore a multitude of caps in his life. Though his professional journey took him in many directions, a common thread ran through them all: an appreciation for people and the connections he built along the way.
He was happiest whenever his family was together, the coffee was pungent, conversation was flowing, and the television (or music) was cranked to 11. He enjoyed spending time outside tending to his garden. His love for animals was evident to all who knew him, and he leaves behind his beloved pets Schatzi and Zaiya. Though often quiet and stoic, his actions spoke volumes. He was a caring family man who provided comfort, guidance, and strength to those fortunate enough to know and love him.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in Denis’ name.
