Doreen Evelyn McKimmon

Doreen Evelyn Mckimmon of Mission, B.C. was born on March 31st, 1951 in Vancouver, B.C. and passed away on July 23rd , 2026 in Victoria, B.C. at the age of 75.

Soon after her birth, Doreen was adopted by Evelyn and Ernie Olund, who took her to their home on 5th Avenue in Mission where she lived until her high school graduation in 1969.

After graduation, Doreen moved to Alberta and worked in an office for almost a year before moving to Terrace to be with her future husband, Lloyd McKimmon. On July 18th, 1970, Lloyd and Doreen were married in Terrace, where their two sons Andrew John and Aaron Lloyd were born. During this time, Doreen worked for Eaton’s as a sales clerk.

In 1974, the family moved to Deroche, B.C. to operate the McKimmon family dairy farm until it was sold in 2008.

Doreen was predeceased by her Father Ernest Olund on May 27th, 1985, and her mother Evelyn Greta Olund on Aug. 7th, 1999.

Doreen is survived by her husband Lloyd; sons Andrew John (Julie & Ella) and Aaron Lloyd (Miwa); her grandchildren Fraser John, Yoshi Aaron, Hana Evelyn, Aya Elena, Emi May; her brother Douglas Richard Olund (Nancy); and countless relatives and friends whose lives she has touched.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Deroche Community Hall, 41555 North Nicomen Road, Deroche, on Saturday, August 29th, at 2:00 pm.
