

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Dylan John Rajguru, who left us on June 20, 2024, in Sidney, BC. Born on April 22, 1979, in Ottawa, Ontario, Dylan's life was a testament to endurance, curiosity, kindness, and resilience.
Dylan grew up in Ottawa, sharing his childhood with his four beloved siblings. His academic journey led him to Mount Allison University in New Brunswick, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree. Always selected for gifted school programs his professional career saw him excel as a programmer at Research in Motion and Amazon, where he made significant contributions, including his key role in developing the Kindle software.
Dylan's passions extended beyond his professional life. He was an avid cyclist, finding joy and freedom on two wheels, and he possessed an insatiable appetite for reading. His interests spanned many topics, reflecting his love of learning and desire to understand the world around him.
Dylan is survived by his loving family, who will forever cherish the memories of his intellect, kindness, humour, and generous spirit. His parents, siblings, and close friends witnessed his journey through numerous challenges, always marked by a quiet determination.
As we remember Dylan, let us honour his legacy of curiosity, resilience, and the joy he brought into our lives. His spirit will continue to inspire us, and his memory will remain a source of comfort and strength.
A memorial service will be held on July 20th at the Church of Our Lord, Victoria.
