Elva Victoria ‘Joan’ (née Randall) Christensen passed away on February 8, 2026 in Saanichton, BC. Joan was born on the family farm at Leacross, Saskatchewan on May 24, 1933. The youngest child of Albert and Annie Randall. She moved to Victoria BC with her parents in 1950. She graduated from the Royal Jubilee School of Nursing in September of 1954. She married Neil Christensen on August 21, 1957. As Neil was a member of the RCAF they moved frequently. They had three sons, Ken, Bruce and Shawn. After 30 years of military service Neil and Joan retired to Victoria. Retirement years were enjoyed with travel, camping and happy times at home with friends.
Joan was predeceased by her two sons, Kenneth (1998) and Shawn (2003) Randall.
Left to mourn her is her husband of 68 years, Neil; son, Bruce Edward (Colleen); daughter-in-law, Bette Christensen; two granddaughters, Stacy and Sara (James); as well as four great grandchildren, Makaila, Dracon, Tylor and Brooke.
A Celebration of Life will be held on February 21, 2026 at Elk Lake Baptist Church on 5349 Patricia Bay Highway at 2:00 p.m.
