Mr. Giuseppe Pirro

PIRRO, Giuseppe (Joe), Victoria, BC. It is with deepest sorrow that the family of Giuseppe (Joe) Pirro announce his passing on Friday, May 11, 2012 at the age of 72 years. Joe was born in Ielsi, Campobasso, Italy, on August 1, 1939 and immigrated to Montreal, Canada in 1962 when he was a young 24 year old man. He later moved to Victoria, BC in 1987. Joe opened his business, Milano Fashions in Sidney, BC and as a successful Master Tailor, had many loyal customers. Joe was an individual who was full of passion, dignity, and pride. He enjoyed life to the fullest, he loved to travel, he took great pleasure tending to his garden and making wine, and he loved to sit and reminisce, telling many a story of his youth in Italy while sharing a fine meal with all of those around him. Joe passed away as he lived his life, with dignity and grace. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Leeanne Cardinal Pirro; his son and daughter-in-law, Salvatore Pirro and Natalie Thornhill, their son, Gavin Thornhill; his two stepchildren, Allen and Chanice Cardinal; his three brothers Michele, Andrea, and Alberto; a large circle of relatives and friends; and his treasured pet and workmate, Max. A Memorial Service will take place on Thursday, May 17th, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at First Memorial Funeral Services, 4752 Falaise Drive, Saanich, BC. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations to the Wild Arc Animal Reserve and Victoria Hospice Society would be greatly appreciated.
