I won’t pretend to know why God chose to take her now. That’s a question none of us can truly answer. But if the gift of having Gloria in our lives isn’t evidence of a loving God, then I don’t know what is.

If there is one thing we should carry with us today, it is the example Gloria gave us every single day she lived. Aunty Gloria held nothing back. She loved God wholeheartedly, cherished her family deeply, and treasured her friends completely. She lived with generosity, faith, and purpose, pouring herself into the people she loved. That is the legacy she leaves us, and one we can all strive to honour.

End of my first message to Gloria Stone:

To all  friends and family of Gloria  in Eastern and Western Canada, the USA and the Caribbean, wherever you are now and always, I send my heartfelt sympathy in the death of your beloved Gloria.   Whether you were one of her  nieces, her cousins,  other relatives or friends, know that she spoke of you so often and you were all always remembered in her prayers.

Know that she is now happy in Heaven where her love to you will continue.     From Rosemaryx

I remember with love and happiness the three decades that I lived and worked in Victoria, B.C.    Gloria and I  worked together at the Victoria General Hospital during that time and when we were both on days off we often visited each other.   Gloria had a lovely singing voice and at my home, I played the piano  for Gloria to sing (she also sang in the Ladies Barbershop choir).     When I visited her, she would show me her family photographs and  write up for me her Jamaican recipes.   They are still so well-used, because  my family and visitors are keen on them and local  stores  imported ingredients for these exciting dishes.   
Gloria was a true friend who is in my mind frequently.   I have these happy memories of her and am glad that she is now at rest with her Lord and singing with the angels.    All my love Gloria,    Rosemaryxx

Gloria was one of 26 charter members of the new City of Gardens Chorus in 1967 (now Pacific Edge Chorus). In her words, she had a "joyful, wonderful, glorious" Sweet Adelines experience that lasted for about 16 years with the Chorus, and which continued on for years with members of an alumnae chorus. Gloria's now singing with the angels. 🎶💕

Mondays are usually the day that I would visit Gloria. We might  sit quietly and look at family photos. We might go outside for some fresh air or to look at the flowers in the gardens close by.  She loved flowers:)
I will miss these visits with my friend.
