Grant was born and raised in the Valley, a place that remained close to his heart throughout his life. He was a familiar face in Westshore and could often be seen striding through Happy Valley or visiting the mall where many knew him. Grant will be remembered for his larger than life presence and his love of laughter. His unmistakable, boisterous laugh could fill a room and bring a smile to those around him.
He will be missed by all who knew him.
Grant was a loving father to son, Joseph (Jaclyn) and daughter, Charlene; grandfather to Quyntin and Ashley; brother to Peggy Price and Donna Hesketh; uncle to nephews and nieces, Brandi and Dallas Price, Becky McLeod, Cory and Travis Hesketh and their families.
Predeceased by his parents, Jim and Agnes Chidlow.
A Celebration of Life will be held at First Memorial Funeral Services, 4725 Falaise Drive, Victoria BC, on May 23, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
