

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our father and husband Ian Fowler on April 26th 2022.
Ian was born in Victoria on February 11, 1938 and was predeceased by his father (Ian), mother (Violet) and his brother (Ron).
Ian is survived by his wife Marilyn, his children Rod (Terry), Deanna (Paul), Colin (Jewel), his sister in law Marg and niece Jessie. He had four grandchildren Jamie, Katrina, Talon and Dylan and one great grandson Teslin, Ian attended Royal Oak school where he met friends that he would have throughout his whole life.
Ian married Marilyn Painter on April 27, 1962, and they remained at each other’s side until Ian’s passing nearly 60 years later. Ian worked as a truck driver spending most of those years working for Ocean Cement.
Ian and Marilyn enjoyed camping, and spent lots of time at Otter Point in Sooke. After retirement they became snowbirds and spent winters in Yuma Arizona and summers at Saritoga Beach in Black Creek.
Ian will be remembered as a kind and loving Husband, Father and Papa as well as a good Friend to many.
The family would like to thank the staff at Beckley Farm Lodge for the wonderful care they provided to our dad.
A Celebration of Life is to be held at First Memorial Funeral Services on May 21st at 2:00pm.
