John Bell passed away peacefully on October 28 only days after celebrating his 104th birthday with family and friends. John was born in Washington, D.C. and lived his early years in Pittsburgh. His family moved to Edmonton Alberta in 1927. He married Eva Kossowan in 1938. In 2003 they moved to Sidney where he made many friends. He was predeceased by Eva and his seven siblings. He will be missed by four generations of family as well as many friends and relatives.
A service of remembrance will be held on Friday November 6 at 1:00 p.m. at Peace Lutheran Church, 2295 Weiler Ave., in Sidney.
Interment will follow at St. Michael’s Cemetery in Edmonton.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mount Newton Centre Society.
