My dear neighbour...I am shocked and so saddened after just having read about your passing from a letter sent to me by your dear Nicky. I will never forget you, as you and Nicky were our first neighbours who showed kindness to us when my son and I moved out West. You always showed care and interest in whatever we were doing throughout the years and you seemed so happy to see us whenever we ran into you downtown. I am so glad I kept in touch with you both. I was planning to enclose a detailed map to show you where I was now living (as per your request) in this year's Winter Solstice card. My thoughts and prayers are with you, Nicky and your family. He is never lost when he is always in your heart and walking with you. With love, Angie and Garrett Chase, always your friends and neighbours in heart.

Scotty you are dearly missed.You were always so happy and i loved running into you when i was out and about and reminiscing of happy times back in the day.You took the time to ask and give advice on what was happening in my life and i thank you for the encouraging words you gave.I told you that pipe smoke reminds me of you and it always will,i love that sweet sweet smell.You are a wonderful man and i was so blessed to know you.From sleep overs when i was a child till i was an adult you always called me kiddo.With love and respect you will forever be remembered and in my heart.

Grandpa, you were the best person I have ever come across. You taught me so many great things about life. I will never forget all the things you did for me. Whether it was taking me to the beach every day or just tieing my shoes. I looked up to you for so many reasons, and on September 11th, you gave me another one; never give up.
