At 71 years young, Janet lost her valiant battle with cancer.
She was surrounded by family and friends. There was much love in the room for a life well lived. She will be greatly missed by her sons Jeffrey and Christopher granddaughter Olivia Kay, her brother Rick, (Margaret) and her nieces and nephews. Janet had so many amazing friends who stepped up and were there for her during this journey. Special thank you to Margot, Louise and Judy for the unending love and compassion.
As per Janet’s wishes there will be no formal service. Janet has been reunited with her Mum, Dad, older brother Les and younger sister Nancy.
No services are scheduled at this time. Receive a notification when services are updated.

My friend for so long. She and the boys were like family. We went through the good times and the bad since 1971.
The memories of all the holidays spent together, the hockey and football games we attended(snow storms or not) will never be forgotten.
Will miss you.
Our thoughts go out to Jeff, Chris and her brother Rick and family.

Always a reason to smile;
Always a reason to giggle;
Always bringing us together in friendship for good times;
Always a loyal friend and helpful co-worker;
An amazing memory keeper of all things past and present;
You are gone too soon and missed by so many, but we are all blessed for having known you.
Fly and be free now, dear friend!

I remember Janet as the big girl next door in Bedford...so pretty and cool. She was one to envy..
Later in life she was a welcoming friend and supporter of daughter Ginnie when she arrived in Victoria for University. She made a huge difference for her and for us back in NS knowing Janet and her Mom
My sympathy to Rick, her sons and families .

Jan was a bright light to many. She hugged me through the tough times. Laughed with me through the craziness and made me smile everyday we were together . She had a knack for connecting with everyone and made them feel special. You are loved my friend.

Janet was a bright ray of sun every day that I worked with her. People would often wait just for Janet so that they could catch up with her. She was one of the kindest, nicest, and joyful people that I have ever met, and always had a smile on her face. Our loss is heaven's gain as one of the brightest starts has been added to the sky.
