Joan grew up in Port Alberni, proud older sister to Bob, Terry and Kath, all sadly predeceased. A decades−long fixture at Eaton’s, our Joan was fiercely independent until the end. She shared her warmth and caring with family and friends alike, never forgetting a birthday or anniversary.
Joan will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by children Jim (Beth), Barb (John), Don (Lady Dana), Dana, Tony (Joanne) with her dozens of cherished grandchildren, great−grandchildren, nieces and nephews and many dear friends. Joan was also predeceased by son Lawrence and daughter−in−law Sharon.
The family wishes to express our heartfelt gratitude to the caring staff at RJH. A memorial to celebrate Joan will be scheduled at a later date. To honour her life donations can be extended to the BC Cancer Agency.
