had a wonderful childhood and remained close to her two sisters and their families all her life.
At the age of fourteen, she moved to Victoria. She attended Vic High and met many lifelong
friends.
Joyce had a career in retail sales; beginning at the candy counter and then moving to the sales
audit in Eaton’s Department Store. She ended her career as a bridal consultant at Miss Frith’s.
Joyce was married in 1955 and had three children; two girls and a boy. She went on to have
five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was always proud of her family.
The last eleven years were spent at the Glenshiel, where Joyce was enthusiastic about the
music, the parties, the movie nights, and the outings. Over the years the people she came to
know made it a very special place.
We will all miss her quirky sense of humour and her infectious laugh. Joyce’s generous spirit
and kindness were evident to all who knew her.
