

For 34 years Larry worked for the Federal Government as a CGA Auditor, then gladly and happily retired in 1998.
Larry and Sharon enjoyed many years of RVing around beautiful Vancouver Island with friends, travelling across many of the provinces, escaping the Canadian winters down in Arizona, and many other travels throughout the United States with friends.
Larry enjoyed throwing horseshoes and belonged to the Victoria Horseshoe Club for many years making wonderful friends along the way. The Horseshoe Club was a fun pastime for Larry and Sharon, who took part in all of the social activities the club provided including camping at tournaments. Larry also belonged to a wine making group where he made great wine, both red and white, which he enjoyed with family and friends. We must not forget his excitable and very loveable labrador, Abbie, who gave Larry lots of puppy licks daily.
Larry is survived by his wife of 32 years, Sharon; his sister Robbie McGarrigle (Phil); daughters Suzanne Cole (step granddaughter Kayla Salmon (Brad) and family), Jennifer Johnson (Rob) (grandson Ryan), and stepdaughter Wendy Smith (grandson Rhys). He is also survived by his brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws: Bill Rathlef, Linda and Brad Davies, Noreen and Phil Holloway, Marilyn and Barrie Moen, Ron and Jeannie Slugget, as well as Larry’s many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Larry was predeceased by his father, Malcolm D. Cole of Orillia, Ontario, mother, Rosalie Cole (Popham) of Vancouver, British Columbia, and by his sister, Lois Rathlef who passed away in 2000.
