Rosie and family.  Please accept our condolences.  Nancy and I held Lorne in the highest regards.  We have great memories from the days we worked together at the airport and from our occasional but cherished informal social  get-togethers.  We will miss him.  Our thoughts are with you and your family.  Nancy & Ron Smith. 

Lorne was such a great friend and fantastic neighbor.  He was so caring and always willing to lend a hand.

My wife, Cheryl, and I have so many happy memories of talks with Lorne during Happy Hours about his truck driving days and his life on the farm in Ontario.

I enjoyed many days working with Lorne on numerous projects, especially splitting and stacking wood.  

Our morning coffees were always good for a BS and laugh.

We will miss Lorne very much.

Uncle Lorne was such a great man & like a second father to me - he will very much be missed.  He & Rosie were always so  welcoming & when they came to visit me, insisted  on helping me out with whatever they could.   

We had lots of laughs & there was a sense of mischief in his eyes which made everything funnier.  It was always a great time during our many visits together.  I also appreciated his strong character as he was a man of his word & someone you could count on in any situation.

It with a heavy heart that I learned of the passing of Uncle Lorne.  Lorne was a one of a kind guy…in the late 1980’s ….I started my RCMP career in BC and Aunt Rosie and Uncle Lorne became my BC parents. We have so many wonderful memories that I will always cherish. Hanging out playing board games and cards were so much fun.  Lorne loved Rosie and his family beyond anything else. He was also committed to helping his community by serving many years with the Lions Clubs up and down Vancouver Island.  I will miss you buddy….love your BC daughter
