Sincere condolences to Lyle's family.   Lyle and Rose were beloved members of St Aidan's United Church.   We loved his baking and his friendly smile.   A life well lived.

Lyle was a sincere, kind gentle man. Always ready to lend a hand such a special friend to my late husband and myself.  We met Lyle through the Oak Bay Power and Sail Squadron  where he was a very valued member.  He will be missed !  Sincere condolences to his family.

Lyle was a kind, warm and welcoming man. Always ready with a good story, a great meal and wonderful cakes. We have missed him since we left the island and he's often been in our thoughts. A life well lived. Rest easy Lyle.  Love from Myles, Shelly, Kirsten and Kienan xoxo

Very sorry to hear about Lyles passing. 
It was always a pleasure to be in Lyle's company. The nights we spent at his home with the Oak Bay Power Squadron sharing pumpkin carving or a xmas get together. He was a generous man. Always ready to help out. Lyle was a true gentleman. I will always smile when I think of him.

Our condolences to Lyles family on his passing.

Lyle was a past Commander, life member and friend of the Oak Bay Power and Sail squadron for over 40 years.  We will never forget all his contributions to the squadron.  We will miss his smile and laughs at the annual squadron Christmas dinners, his wonderful fall parties he hosted at his house and his endless hours volunteering with the squadron educational classes.

We will always remember Lyle fondly and have wonderful memories of the times spent with the Oak Bay Power and Sail Squadron.  Like the time Lyle came for the weekend on our boat to Otter Bay and the special cake he made in 2004 for our daughters 16th birthday. Lyle was such a knowledgeable man who was always there to lend a helping hand.  He will be greatly missed. 

We hope that the love of family and friends will comfort and strengthen you in the days ahead.

Dear family , I am so sorry for your loss, at the same time feeling happy for Lyle to move on to the next chapter..   One of my fondest memory of Lyle was when I went over to stay at the house with Jannete when we lived in Comox was wandering with him in the back yard and seeing all those gold and Koi fish in the swimming pool.  I didn't have a boat at that time and hadn't been fishing for year and he said bring over you rod !  And we had a good laugh .... I will
