Born and raised in Victoria to parents Bob and Rose Love, her early years were dedicated to oil painting and teaching swimming at the old YMCA.
After retiring from a decades-long career as a data analyst with Defence Research Establishment Pacific, Marg threw herself into a busy and happy retirement, cruising the world, plotting courses aboard their sailboat, reeling in fish or sitting around a campfire. She loved going to Mexico with family and friends and enjoyed time spent cooking, gardening and reading.
With a quick wit and sense of humour, she will be remembered for hosting many dinner parties full of laughter and great food.
A loving wife, mother and grandmother, Marg leaves behind Richard (Dick), her devoted husband of 58 years, and children Coleen (Larry) Matte, Kevin (Winnie) McCleave and Karen (Mark) Allison. Her innate kindness will also be missed by grandchildren Amanda, Erica, Jennifer and Stephanie as well as six great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the staff on Selkirk Seniors Village’s Crofton floor for their care and kindness this past 15 months.
There will be no service at the family’s request.
