
Born in Montreal on December 1, 1927 to Jean and George Frier, she lived a full 86 years. Educated in Montreal, Kingston and Victoria, she also studied at Queen’s University. She was active in various book clubs, the Canadian Women’s Club and Newcomers.
She and her husband, Ralph, were married in Ickenham, England in 1954 and have just celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.
They lived in Ontario, Montreal, Boston, Milan, Vancouver, and Victoria and spent many family holidays at the house in Vermont.
She is survived by her loving spouse: Ralph; her children: Linda of Ontario; Rick (Mary) of New Brunswick; Alison (Chris) of Alberta; Rod (Laura) of Langford; nine grand children: Mathew, Liesel (Joel), Luke, Kenzie, Jess, Isaac, Jessika, Dallas and Morgan; and two great grandchildren: Anders and Rowan; a brother-in-law, John, and nieces and nephews in the UK.
A visitation will be available to friends and neighbours at First Memorial Funeral Services at 4755 Falaise Drive on Thursday, September 11, 2014 from 11am to 1 pm. There will be a reception tea following at the residence at Boulderwood Rise from 2 to 4 pm. Her ashes will be interred at a later date in the Frier family plot at Cataraqui Cemetery in Kingston.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Sarah Chritchley, the family physician; the nurses and doctors at the Royal Jubilee Hospital and the Palliative Home Care team for their sensitive care and attention in supporting Peg and the family at home.
