She was born in Victoria, BC in 1940, growing up near the Gorge Road waterway with her parents Ivy and William Greig and her 3 brothers (Irwin, John and Gordon). The Greig family came from a long line of ship captains that originated from Kincardine, Scotland. Margaret joined the Royal Canadian Air Force after graduating from Mount View High School and was stationed in Ottawa. She later moved back to Victoria and worked for 35 years for the St. Joseph’s Hospital and then the Victoria General Hospital. After retirement, she enjoyed walking with many friends from two walking groups and enjoyed playing bridge. She will be missed by many. She joins her late husband Ronald Joseph Minnis who passed away in 2017, and leaves behind her loving children Charlene, Elaine and Barry, their spouses, and her grandchildren Danya, Laura, Madison, and Ivy, and two great-grandchildren Ryan and Mila.
