Predeceased by her husband Dave of 31 years. Mom is survived by her sons Brent (Shelly) Ian (Tammy) and grandchildren, Nathan, Haileigh, Emily and Liam.
Marian grew up in Victoria attending Cloverdale Elementary and Mount View High School. After Graduation Marian trained as a Registered Nurse at the St. Joseph School of Nursing in Victoria. She had a long career caring for others at all the area hospitals. Marian was a devoted volunteer in her community as she participated in the Glenlake Home and School Association and Langford Fire Department Woman’s Auxiliary.
Mom and dad loved to travel and visited many countries around the world. Mom’s passion for travel continued and she became a Travel Agent after she retired from nursing. Mom took up one of dad’s hobbies as a ham radio operator, learning morse code in order to achieve her license.
In later years Marian joined a ladies bowling team at Langford Lanes, an activity she enjoyed immensely, even in her final months she had great hopes to return to bowl with the girls.
We are most grateful for the care mom received by her home support attendants, Wendy and Stephanie who allowed mom to stay in her home as was her wish until she required medical support. Also to the amazing staff at the Oak Cottage in Heritage Woods on Goldstream Ave for their care and compassion for mom in her final months.
