She was born on July 25, 1932 in Victoria, BC.
She married Michael F. Schneider in 1952 and was widowed in 1990. Marilyn lived all of her life in Victoria. She worked in the optical business for several years and then took a nursing course at age 40 and worked at Royal Jubilee Hospital until she retired. She was a scuba diver for approximately 28 years. She loved playing tennis, curling, music, to travel and to laugh a lot.
She leaves behind two daughters: Kathryn and Arleigh; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Michael Schneider and her sister, Judy MacKenzie.
A Celebration of Marilyn’s life will be held at First Memorial Funeral Services, 4725 Falaise Drive, Victoria, BC on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at 2:00 pm.
