Mavis Wyatt was born and raised in Leeds, England. She was a champion swimmer in high school and was a talented seamstress. After graduating, she joined the Royal Navy where she met the love of her life, Brian. After marriage, they enjoyed many adventures and decided to immigrate to Canada in 1955 where Brian joined the Canadian Navy. Mavis enjoyed a long career as a Medical Office Manager as she raised her three daughters, while navigating numerous moves from coast to coast with the Armed Forces, Eventually, the family settled in Victoria, B.C. Mavis had a love of travel, reading, and dining out.
