Born in 1929 in Saskatoon to James (Bill) and Anna, she moved with her family to West Vancouver and then to Kitsilano along with her sister Joan, where her love for singing and art developed. Her design talents were quickly recognized and supported by her employers, becoming a jewelry designer for Birks; creating designs for Princess Elizabeth and the Commonwealth Games medals, among others. Her artwork took many forms, including watercolours, jewelry, display design, and toll painting. Married to Eric for 66 years, they travelled extensively from their home base in South Surrey, and enjoyed life with family and lifelong friends. There are fond memories of their summer house on Mayne Island; boating, fishing, and enjoying the view across Active Pass.
Always the optimist, and with a strong and outgoing personality, she made friends easily. Combining her loves for socializing and cooking, she hosted amazing gatherings for friends and family.
She is survived by children Larry and Kathryn and three grandchildren.
