Born in Alberta and raised in beautiful Victoria, British Columbia, Patricia attended Victoria High School, where she was known for her athletic abilities and competitive spirit. She excelled in basketball, badminton, and other sports. Those who knew her understood that she approached life with determination, independence, and a sense of adventure.
Following graduation, Patricia set off on a memorable journey to Ontario, hitchhiking her way across the country with a confidence and adventurous spirit that would come to define her life. There, she married and raised her children, Scott Kenneth Evans, and Stacey Lynn Jones (nee Evans). During her years in the small town of Stouffville, Ontario, she developed a love of golf, bridge and travel while building lifelong friendships and creating countless cherished memories.
In 1988, Patricia returned to the place she had always considered home – Vancouver Island – where she enjoyed many happy years surrounded by family, friends, and the things she loved most. She especially enjoyed tending to her garden, working on puzzles, and spending time with those closest to her.
Above all, Patricia treasured her family. Her happiest moments were often the simplest ones – sharing stories, laughter, and time with the people she loved the most. She was a proud grandmother to Mackenzie Anne Jones and Taylor Skye Jones, and an adoring great grandmother to Hudson Skye Jones, who brought tremendous joy to her later years.
Patricia lived a long life filled with adventure, resilience, friendship, and love. While we miss her deeply, we take comfort in knowing how fortunate we were to have shared so many years with her. The lessons she taught, the stories she shared, and the love she gave will remain with us always.
Patricia leaves behind a legacy of strength, independence, and devotion to her family. Her example, values, and love will continue to inspire those whose lives she touched and will be carried forward by her children, grandchildren, and great grandchild.
She will be lovingly remembered and forever missed by all who knew and loved her.
In accordance with Patricia's wishes, there will be no service.
“Some people leave footprints on our hearts; she left an entire garden”
