Philip Reisig

Phil is survived by his loving wife Vicki of 52 years, sons Darren (Lori) and Dan (Deanna) and daughter Dawn (Larry) and as well his cherished and loving granddaughters Willow, Sydney, Sierra, Jordan, and Sofia. He loved them all so very much. He is also survived by younger brother Randy (Connie) and predeceased by parents Lou and Winnie Reisig and older brother Larry (Lea). Phil was a loving father, husband, grandfather, and friend to all. He was a dedicated and devoted family man and for Phil, family always came first.

Born in Vancouver, Phil worked in the food distribution industry in both Vancouver and later Victoria as a salesman and as a manager for 40+ years until he retired at age 64. He enjoyed all sports but especially enjoyed watching his children and later his grandchildren participate in sport. Phil was always there to help friends with whatever they needed him for.

A special thank you to the amazing staff on the 8th floor (north wing) for their care and support of Phil the last two months. Thank you to First Memorial Funeral Home for all of their help. There will be a celebration of life held at the Beach House for friends and family who would like to share some stories of Phil and celebrate his wonderful life. It will be a held on Sunday, April 15 from 1:00 to 4:00.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Victoria Hospice society or the Victoria Alzheimer’s society.
