In the blink of an eye our family's world has been turned upside down and our hearts are aching. Phil’s life has been cut too short, too soon and we are all devastated by this huge loss. He will be forever missed. He was born with a naturally sweet and kind soul, a heart of gold, a big smile for everyone he met and was always fun to be around.
Phil, an avid sports lover, meant so much to everyone that surrounded him. Phil was heavily involved in the sports community all around Victoria from a very young age. His sports family included Juan De Fuca, Racquet Club, Victoria Cougars and The Thunders Hockey, to Juan De Fuca and Layritz baseball, as well as Prospect Lake Junior Golf to Royal Colwood Golf Clubs. More recently, being involved as a father in his daughters’ sports, he could be found most evenings attending or coaching one of their practices or games for Juan De Fuca Soccer or Lacrosse and even branched out into the world of Dance with Elevate Dance Studio. The Pacific FC was also a huge extension of his sports family and he and the girls attended every game they possibly could.
Phil was a local business owner and his company Infinity Heating & Ventilation was well known in the community where he gave back regularly by sponsoring youth and adult sports. He worked hard building this business from the ground up pouring love and devotion into it for over 13 years. He loved his company, his crew and everyone he worked with. To Phil this was his Infinity family.
In addition to these facets of his life he also had his Lake Family. The Lake was his respite from the everyday hustle and bustle where he would spend warm summer days enjoying the moment.
He was preceded in death by his Father, Graham Rendall, on April 29th, 2013. He missed him deeply every single day since then.
He will always be remembered with much love by his heartbroken Mother, Deirdre Rendall; The love of his life and adored wife Melissa; beautiful daughters Kenzie, Khloe and Kaylee; three older sisters, Sharon (Noah, Ethan, Abby), Amanda (Jeff, Jessica, Katelyn), and Hilary (Randy, Cole, Maria); and a long list of deeply-saddened Aunties, Uncles, Cousins and Friends. He also leaves behind Sammy, his sweet little puppy and latest addition to the Rendall Family.
He was so greatly loved and will be so sorely missed by the many friends and family he has left behind. Everyone who knew Phil felt his warmth and generosity. He lived every day to the fullest and went out of his way to always make it fun for everyone.
We can all find solace in knowing he’s been reunited with his Dad and his forever fur baby Dillinger (aka Dilly).
