Pleun was predeceased by his parents, 9 brothers, 2 sisters, and son David. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Marjorie, daughter Coby (Dave) and grandaughter Julia (Alistair), son Len (Cheryl), Bev (son David's wife) and Bev's sons Justin and Jarred and their families.
Pleun was born in Holland and was an identical twin to brother Len. He emigrated to Canada in 1953 and lived in Moose Jaw, Sask. He worked in Accounting which took him to Calgary, Burnaby and back to Calgary. He enjoyed retirement in Calgary, High River, Penticton and Victoria.
Pleun was always very active in his church and sang in the choir for over 68 years. He played soccer and tennis for many years. Family and friends were very important to Pleun. The door was always open and he had a listening ear for everyone. He never took sides but was there for all.
He loved gardening, especially his apricot roses, and always harvested loads of vegetables to store in a cold storage room he built, so our supply lasted until the next year’s harvest.
We will miss him always but know he can now rest in peace after years of struggling.
