An amazing sister, wife, mother and grandmother. Raymonde passed just 10 days after her husband, Paul, after 62 years of marriage. Raymonde had a heart of gold. She helped so many people in her life. She was active choir member with the voice of an angel. Helpful, giving, and funny she was also an incredible cook, who welcomed everyone with open arms and laughter. Her ability to see the joys in life are found throughout her many writings, poetry and in her visual descriptions creativity expressed in a myriad of words and paintings.
She raised her boys often on her own, as Paul her husband, was often away in Military Service. The many travels throughout Europe including 4 years in Germany, forced her to accommodate in different locations with different languages and cultures. Ray loved nature, the seasons, and each of their gifts. She enjoyed Visual Arts, costumes and the beautiful things in life. Ray was a genuine model of how to engage in life, and how to love. Dearly missed by many Ray, you have truly earned your wings.
“Dreaming….
Sitting in reverie, I hear the whisper
Of the waves where the fishing boats adorn the shores….
And my thoughts follow the gulls
Planning over the blue water..
How I wish I could join them
On their heavenly flight!
As free as the wind.”
Raymonde Larouche
