She was born in Greenock Scotland. She leaves behind her daughters Elaine Brodie and Alanna (Mike), and two grandchildren Alan and Erin Brodie.
At Ruby's request, three will be no memorial service. Donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of BC or SPCA Victoria, in lieu of flowers.
