Born in England on August 4th, 1940, Richard’s life was one of family, engineering, physics, and finance. He lived in the United Kingdom and Canada, eventually retiring in Victoria, BC. For someone who was so good with numbers it was always interesting to see how he summed his golf strokes.
Richard was predeceased by his parents, and his wife of 62 years Kaija. He is survived by his brothers: Phil, Peter, and Paul, his sister Kay, his sons Lars, and Mark (Sandra); and his grandsons, Edward (Caitlin), and Barrett (Tiffany).
A celebration of Richard’s life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will come together to honor his remarkable life, his generosity of spirit, and his deep love for those he leaves behind.
He will be remembered always with gratitude, affection, and admiration.
