Robert “George” Brown was born on October 18th, 1947 in Duncan, British Columbia, and passed away on March 14th, 2021 in Victoria, British Columbia at the age of 73.
George grew up in Lake Cowichan and enjoyed hiking, fishing, camping, and hockey. Upon graduating high school, George attended the British Columbia Institute of Technology to become a forest technician. He worked for the federal government forestry division in Victoria for all of his career. He enjoyed doing fieldwork in all parts of B.C. George was a good mentor and had a gift for being very thorough and patient in helping students learn. After retirement, he spent a lot of time helping his parents and in their later years, caregiving for them.
George will best be remembered for his kind and generous nature in helping support family and friends in need.
George was predeceased by his parents, Sam and Jean Brown, brother Kerry and nephew Nathan. He is survived by his sisters, Barbara (Jim), Cathy (Roger), and sister-in-law, Joy.
