Sandra Ann Ohs

SANDRA ANN OHS died peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family on 21st January 2023 at the aged of 77, in Victoria, B.C. Pre-deceased by her parents Lloyd and Dorothy Pountney and her brother Robert, she leaves to mourn her death and celebrate her life, her husband Lieutenant-Commander (ret) The Reverend Father Douglas F Ohs; two children, Monica Varey (John) and grandson Sean of Victoria, B,C, and; Jason Ohs (Michelle) and grandchildren Taylor, Dawson and Jordyn, of Medicine Hat Alberta. Her sister Lloy (Peter) Jefferson and numerous nieces and nephews in Vancouver.

Born in Edmonton, Alberta on May 21st 1945, her family moved to North Vancouver and some years later to Kamloops where Sandra attended High School. On 17th August 1973 she married Douglas, moved to Saskatoon where he was in his final year at Seminary. In July 1974 their first child Monica as born and 2 years later Jason was born in the UK

After 4 years in the UK, Sandra returned with her family to Canada, where they lived 14 years in Saskatchewan and 22 years in various postings throughout Canada, before retiring in Victoria.

A Solemn Requiem Mass with Rite of Christian burial will be held at St. John the Evangelist Cathedral, corner of Falmouth Road and Savannah Ave., Victoria, at 11 am on Friday 27th January, 2023. Archbishop S. Janzen officiating.
