Our sweet mother passed away peacefully on April 12, 2022 after a long battle with dementia. Born in Trail BC in1938 Mom’s contributions to the community and her family were many. From student nurse to preschool teacher to dedicated public servant Mom excelled in helping people, always showing kindness and compassion. A giving and affectionate person we were blessed to have the most wonderful Mom and wife who loved us unconditionally and was always there for her family. Mom threw wonderful parties and welcomed people into her home with grace and love. Left to mourn is her loving husband John Jackson, children Laura (Mark), Dean (Charisse), Darren (Corinna) and grandchildren Alex, Leigh, Kirk, Claire, Quinn, Pierce, great grandchild Mason and many friends. Saundra kept her sense of humour and fun through the despondent dips and swings of dementia and we would like to thank the staff at Resthaven Lodge for their compassionate care through this difficult time.
