Many will remember her as a loyal friend and colleague, always ready with a quick smile or a word of encouragement. To her husband Markus, two sons Braeden and Tyson, her sister Nancy, and her parents Joe and Lynda, she was a centre of gravity - the brightest star at the centre of our universe. Her ten-year battle with cancer a testament to her fierceness, courage, poise and grace.
Heartbreakingly, the light from our star faded away on the morning of 10th May. Her battle has ended and she is at peace.
I want to thank all those who have reached out over the past weeks as Steph was very touched and comforted by your words of support. Knowing that she helped to create such lasting impressions with so many people helps to lessen the weight of our grief, a reminder that our time together was a blessing - a gift to be cherished.
